Necessary certificates for getting married in Greece.
1) PASSPORT COPIES OF BRIDE & GROOM
2) FULL BIRTH CERTIFICATES OF BOTH PARTIES
A shorter version of Birth Certificates will not be accepted but the full one.
3) CERTIFICATE OF NO-IMPEDIMENT TO MARRIAGE
This document confirms that both of you are single and free to marry. This document can be obtained from your local Registry or Statistics Office and must not be issued more than 3 months before your wedding
4) DIVORCE CERTIFICATE (if any)
If any of you has been married and divorced at the past, please provide a Certified Copy of the Decree Absolute.
5) DEATH CERTIFICATE (if any)
If one of you, Bride or Groom is a widower, a death certificate must be obtained
6) OFFICIAL DOCUMENT ABOUT CHANGING YOUR NAME (if any)
If one of you has changed his / her name at the past, an official document must be obtained. This document includes divorced parties that have reverted to their maiden name
6) ADOPTION CERTIFICATES (if any)
If any of you is adopted, this certificate is necessary
7) BAPTISM CERTIFICATE
This Certificate is necessary only if you have decided a Religious Wedding in Greece. This Document can be obtained from the Church you have been Baptized
PLEASE NOTE
All these Documents (apart from the passport/ID copies) must prove their international legalization by the Apostille Stamp.
Send your documents 6 weeks prior to the wedding date by e-mail to us. We will confirm that the file of your paperwork is complete and will proceed with the translation.
Do not forget to bring all the original documents with you.
